Angel has an incredible gift, she easily and what appears to be effortlessly, presents herself in a way you can and want to connect too. She shares related stories of her lived experience, as mother, as a college student, as a friend… and then she pulls back the curtain and share her experiences as Black woman. As she shares these stories, she reveals the impacts of the privilege of skin tone. I have been working on myself as a white advocate for racial justice for years, but it wasn’t until I met Angel and listened to her story telling and participated in her race, equity, diversity and inclusion trainings and workshops did I really open up to see the truths of systemic racism and the work I needed to do. She has set me on path of continual growth and for that I am forever in her debt.

I would highly recommend Angel as a consultant for facilitating equity training and conversations in any type of organization or business. Angel is skilled, sensitive and successful at helping groups or people learn about and discuss issues of race and equity in our world today. Our team learned so much from her presentations on historical realities of racism and inequity, as well as from her personal and powerful stories. She asks thought-provoking questions that enable a group to move towards a deeper sense of justice and equity in their organizations and communities. Angel is a truth-teller. She clearly and skillfully articulates the truth and needed change in a community and organization and has the relational tools and training to enable a willing team to experience true transformation. She has played a significant role in our organization's ability to begin the work that is necessary to create a space of equity and inclusion. She is a joy to work with and I would highly recommend her to any team, organization or group that desires to grow in their impact on issues of justice, reconciliation and equity.
